The Trust Office Foundation (Dutch: STAK) is a legal entity that holds company shares on behalf of investors. Instead of owning shares directly, investors receive certificates that give them economic rights, such as dividends. The STAK's board manages the foundation, ensuring compliance with Dutch and EU regulations as well as Dutch-Ghanaian tax treaties. TRADE 24/7 STAK CERTIFICATES
The STAK collaborates with Share Council, a Dutch B-Corp company that helps with issuing certificates and managing administrative aspects of certificate ownership, including distributing dividends. At the investor's request, the STAK will subscribe to REIT share placements and, once secured, will issue STAK certificates to the investor, granting them economic rights.
Share Council's online platform allows investors to hold or trade outstanding STAK certificates, thereby enhancing market liquidity. Additionally, once listed, investors can instruct the STAK to sell the underlying shares associated with their certificates on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
EASE AND SECURITY AT MINIMAL COSTS
Neither the STAK nor the REIT charges any additional management or other fees. The only costs associated with investing through the STAK are operational and administrative expenses for maintaining the STAK, which are proportionately distributed among outstanding certificates. Each year, the STAK board of directors discloses these expenses, which undergo an annual review by an independent external auditor.
The STAK's board of directors includes two members from the REIT's board who serve without compensation.
